Another Tuesday

Well here we are on my dad's birthday. First I need to offer good luck to my ECC Crusaders as they will have to take on first ranked Serra Catholic Friday night in the first round of the PIAA state playoffs and they will need all the help they can get.

Now I also want to congratulate Tobias Striech on his excellent weekend of ball playing with WVU (for those who want more detail.. check out the baseball pages from the WVU website). Also to Calvin Grumley for getting into a college game as a freshman. ( I know Tobias is a freshman too.... but.....)

Yankees take the game field on Friday in Tampa. The lohud yankees blog is quickly becoming must read for me. SEVERAL times a day.

I'm getting tired of this messed up weather we are having in Elk County. It is causing terrible issues for my sinuses. My ears pop like 10 times a day. Now we are having rain and snow then single digit temps then back up to like 40 by this time next week????
I HATE going out of winter season. THANK GOODNESS for baseball.

busy doing what?

Yes I have been busy and its not even baseball season proper yet. So what may I have been doing. Well being the dork that I am, reading WAY too much lily/james fanfiction. (Seriously there are some great James/Lily love stories out there, kind of reminds me of my Soap couples). I have also recently started reading more Yankee blogs. Now those of you that know me know I check the NY Times, the NY Daily News, and the NY Post to follow Yankee stories there. I always check Blogging the Bombers and Subway Squawkers on the Daily News and frequently check the others. But now that Phil Hughes has his own blog (ala Curt Shilling) I have begun to check out other Yankee fan blogs. There are some i really enjoy. The louhud yankees blog is great and super informative and keeps a great list of other blogs to keep an eye on. I love knowing there are so many great Yankee fans. It make me want to become a better blogger.

touching base

18-1... I was pretty happy about that. Congratulations to the NY Giants on a well played and well earned victory in SB XLII. I had a nice quiet weekend. Dan not so much. He needed to be reminded (to the tune of $160) of the open container ordiance in the City of Saint Marys. I just shouldn't let him go out alone. But I was also not up for being bitchy and miserable so I figured I would stay home to keep everyone feeling better. We had a nice quiet Super Bowl gathering at the house Sunday night. I went with Nancy, Celeste, and Nikki to visit Jeff, Jamie and JD on Saturday. This morning we in Burg had a bank robbery at freaking gun point. IN BURG!! Wow, how crappy is that. Today is Fat Tuesday and I forgot to make cookies last night. Tomorrow is Wed and the week will be half over. This upcomming weekend is busy though. We have the APMI dinner at the Royal Friday night then Saturday is the Benefit for Jeff. No football this weekend. Bummer.
Hopefully baseball season will come in soon! I love baseball season. At least basketball playoffs are starting soon!

January is boring

Not what you are thinking!! So I was enjoying one of my favorite blogs (Save Phil Hughes) when I stumbled across Phil Hughes' own personal blog. I'm very excited about this. Nothing new in the Wilson home. We are getting closer and closer to BASEBALL SEASON. I can't wait. Pitchers and catchers will be reporting soon. I can keep up with both WVU and PSU baseball. Along with the ever exciting Johnsonburg Rams baseball season. After last season I just love those boys. Not that I didn't always love my brother but I just wanted to hug them all even though none of them even knew who I was. Even though Christine was super-fan I tried to be there as much as I could. But we moved in April so this year I have nothing else going on. Vince's games will be a great hobby for me.

Nuttin

Well nothing much is going on in my world right now. I have gotten insanely into HP fan fictions. I know I know I'm such a loser. Its my own fault. Dan thinks I am insane of course. Tonight we will be taking down the rest of the Christmas decorations. Which means I can dust the rest of the house and then vacuum my house. I know such an exciting life I lead. BUT as the end of Jan gets near that means we are getting super close to BASEBALL season!!!!!!

Nuttin much

Not much going on-- just wanted to offer my Congratulations to Rich Gossage on entering the Hall Of Fall as the 25 Yankee player to be represented.

Things at home are well, but nothing seems to be curbing my current baby fever, which is driving Dan nuts! I'm trying so hard to force myself out of this since we both decided it is not time to have a baby yet especailly since Neither of us has health insurance to cover baby Wilson. I'm kinda hoping a visit with JD Eckert might cure me of the baby fever. But it could make it worse. So I think I will just will myself not to talk about it.

Anyway... with January getting to the middle that means we are quickly coming upon spring training and HS baseball season. This is going to be an exciting year for us at Johnsonburg Baseball. I'm so excited for all the boys this year.

I forgot

I forgot to mention not that any of you may care... Jamie and Jeff named their baby boy Jeff David Eckert Jr. or JD.
